The best piece of advice I ever received in regards to personal style came from one of my best friends (attribute my darling Joanne McGibbon). This single gem of wisdom she shared with me in my late teens (t'was one night when we were getting ready for the evening, whilst on holiday at Potters Leisure Resort ) and this gem set me on the right path to understanding how personal style - essentially a symphony of elements brought together to create a final ensemble - is successfully composed. The gem of wisdom Jo shared with me that fateful night (which was too many years ago for me to be willing to specify...!) is:
