Style-Cats Confession of the Day 08/04/12

There's nothing like a bit of bright sunshine on a hot day to lift the spirits and put a spring in your step. And we love to achieve that golden sun-kissed glow after a few well spent hours in the sun, sufficiently protected by an appropriate factor suntan lotion of course depending on your location, temperature and skin type. But regardless of how well we protect ourselves from those UV rays, there is no denying sun, how ever little we see, damages our skin cells....as Dr Knight, my conscientious and smooth skinned dermatologist keeps telling me....
I am no Snow White with my skin au naturel, more like Pale Fright! So....

STYLE CONFESSION NO.3
When it comes to tan, there's nothing wrong with faking it!

However heed this warning from one who has tried and tested many! DO NOT GO CHEAP UNLESS YOU WANT TO LOOK CHEAP! Or like a poorly cooked rasher of streaky bacon.....I find my favorite most natural fake tans are Lancome or Christian Dior.

As much as I like a bargain, somethings just shouldn't be done on the cheap and your fake-tan is well and truly one of those things! However Garnier Sublime Bronze is a good cheaper option if your Dior and Lancome cannot be sourced in an emergency preen situation, but make sure you get the micro fine diffuser version for optimum results that you can build up slowly to prevent over-oranging - after all no one looks good  when their tan makes them  look like they have been tango'd!

To show you the comparative results, here is me with a natural tan (very drunk while on holiday)  and me with a Lancome fake....not bad huh?!
