Style To Make You Smile When It Rains......

Okay, so the rain hath not only set in for April showers, it seems it wants to continue for a while yet into mid May which, lets face it, we are all hoping to be seeing the starts of a great British summer by then (yes well we are known for being a nation of unrealistic-optimism, if you want evidence you only have to remember we enter the eurovisionn song contest EVERY YEAR regardless of how many 'null-pois' we get).....ignoring the irony of the hosepipe ban adverts on TV and the side of buses, I embarked on a mini-mission to find reasons that make the continuing crappy rainy weather more bearable! 


There are two iconic items  intrinsically linked to rainy weather - the umbrella and the wellington boot. There are some seriously stylish, funky and cool brollies and wellies available to choose from, depending on your purse or plastic flexibility of course! Here are some of my favorite items to add style and raise a smile and maybe just maybe get you singing in the rain....

I love a good hat I do....and blessed with an oval shape face I am lucky to be able to pull off most head adornments  with a strong chin and confident smile...and if all else fails then by wearing a don't-give-a-gosh-darn-cause-I-like-this-hat-attitude! Style-Cats Latest Purrrchase...... Friday 7th April

Ahhhhh shopping on your day off, its one of life's simple pleasures. And what better way to re-boost your inner purrr than to go underwear shopping....(oh, with the exception of high heels shopping of course, my other favorite shop-to-purrrchase item)

There's nothing like a new matching bra and knickers set to adorn your frame, one that compliments your hair and skin colours perfectly, to make you feel a million dollars in just a few slips of material. Today on my travels round La Senza, knickerbox, Ann Summers and Marks n' Spencers, three sets just HAD to be purchased! You know how it is girls, once the heart wants the heart must have....and besides, its as much a present for 'him' (or 'her') indoors as it is for us the purchaser!

What a result my first purchase was in the sale at Ann Summers.......the whole set costing just £9...yes £9 in the sale (£6 bra £3 panties). The set is simply gorgeous! Mid purple with peacock feather pattern and frilly edge to the panties gives the set a hint of burlesque opulence...looks great on blonde or brunette!

Next find of the day was in our beloved Marks and Spencers undies department.....soooooo cute this one, naughty country girl chic is right up my street (or should that be up me farm...?! Or did that sound like a really bad euphemism?!) This one gives a fabulous deep cleavage girls, making you look ready to roll in the hay at the drop of a sexy cowboy's hat........

And finally, the third set. I often find the underwear in 'Marks n Sparks' do sexy just as spectacularly as the brands designed and marketed as sexy do....purrr 'M 'n' S Girls', purrr! I just adore this lacy little set, although its not padded it has great hold and shape so you still feel sexy without the obligatory 'chicken fillets' in place. Its the little details along the edging of the bra and panties that makes the set simply adorable. This set is a bit like Kylie....Cute and Sexy and both girls and guys alike love her!
