Style-Cats Confession of the Day.....21/04/12

I used to have the long luxurious golden locks when I was young; but being something of a strong willed tom-boy in my pre-teens, I eventually convinced my mum to let me chop my golden tresses off. Mother did say "You'll regret it" but of course we know better when we are young, or at least we think we do! So hence followed a short bob closely followed by a combination of 80's footballer spikes meets mullet. Oh yes. The 80's. It really did happen....
Various perm and hair dye phases through the teen years later, my once long luscious mane no longer is long...or luscious....but you wouldn't know that to look at me because......

STYLE CONFESSION NO.5
If I want bigger hair I just clip on a hairpiece!

I have several different types, some straight some wavy some curly; some are small bits of hair to blendin while others are entire crown pieces which gives you that 'mane of hair' look Cheryl Cole sports so well. The trick is to find hair-pieces with the right tones to match and blend with your own hair. Its also important to consider the activity/event you will be embarking upon while wearing the hairpiece (ie. dancing or high energy activity as opposed to a posh dinner etc). Consider your hair type and what type of hair accessory the hair-piece is attached to, be it comb or slide or grip etc, when choosing an appropriate hair piece. For example fine hair copes better with small hair inserts on the small bendy clips

 or a comb across the crown to spread the weight of the additional hair;
whereas thicker hair can better cope with the added strain of a pony tail clip piece.
TIP! Always cover the join where the clip, comb or grip which the hair-piece is attached to meets your head by using some of your own hair....
